Smoked Cream Cheese
We are obsessed with smoked cream cheese. We’ve tried TONS of ways to season our cream cheese ever since we purchased out Pit Boss Pellet Grill in 2021. It’s one of the first recipes we tried and we have made countless blocks for our family to enjoy ever since. One of the reasons we love it so much is it is really quite simple and there are countless ways to season it. You can make this sweet, make it savory, use traditional seasonings or use something off the wire.
When we made smoked cream cheese we score the top to allow the smoke to reach more surface area of the cream cheese block. This also allows the smoked cream cheese flavors to cover more of the smoked block of cream cheese. Make sure in all of these recipes you follow the scoring step to get the best smoked cream cheese possible!
Some of our recipes vary in smoking time but as a general rule of thumb your cream cheese should smoke for 90 to 120 minutes. Sometimes we’ll pull off at that 90 minute mark if we’re really, really hungry. Other times we let it go for the the full 2 hours to get as much smoky flavor as possible.

2. Cinnamon Sugar & Honey Smoked Cream Cheese
This is our go to for a smoky, sweet snack. We always use this recipe for a smoked cream cheese dessert because it’s simple, it taste absolutely amazing and our kids ask for it all the time. We serve with honey crisp apple slices, graham crackers and pretzels. This is my favorite recipe to follow for leftovers too because it tastes so stinking good on top of a toasted English muffin or bagel. The method to create this cream cheese involves scoring, seasoning and then drizzling with honey before smoking for 90 minutes.

3. Buffalo Wings Smoked Cream Cheese
Talk about beautiful AND delicious! Picture this – a smoked cream cheese block where every single bite is packed with the spice of your favorite buffalo wings sauce and buffalo ranch. This is what you’ll get with our Smoked Buffalo Cream Cheese. This recipe was born after I stumbled upon Franks Buffalo Ranch seasoning while browsing Amazon. Like a lot of American families, we love making buffalo wings and buffalo dip during the fall and football season. I decided to try to make it with smoked cream cheese and minus the chicken. We have made this numerous times ever since and are looking forward to serving it to family and friends once football season arrives!
For this recipe you need Franks Buffalo Ranch seasoning as well as your favorite buffalo wings sauce. We use a mild and medium sauce depending on if our kids plan to enjoy with us. One of the great things about this recipe is it pairs great with vegetables such as carrots & celery as well as traditional snacking items like tortilla chips and pretzels.

4. S’mores Smoked Cream Cheese

Okay, talk about an absolute favorite and unique recipe. We created this recipe as a simple way to enjoy a s’mores dip and it has stayed with us ever since. To make this recipe you need chocolate bars and marshmallow fluff. In place of chocolate bars you can use baking chips or chocolate sauce drizzle. Marshmallow fluff is a must though. The fluff does run a bit during smoking so make sure to put just enough on to cover your cream cheese. Our photo below shows the cream cheese running over the side. Don’t worry if all your sides aren’t covered as the cream cheese will run down and do that part for you.
After this finishes smoking you can serve right on the aluminum foil or move to a serving dish. You can also add additional chocolate drizzle if your a complete chocolate fanatic like us!
