The perfect summer side dish for all your backyard get togethers! Smoked baked beans is loved by all and a breeze for the chef.

Baked Beans On Smoker
Smoking your baked beans is a delicious way to add a new flavor to a classic dish. Slow cooking and stirring throughout the process ensures your baked beans are getting as much smoked flavor as possible.
This recipe is one my family has used ever since I can remember. We usually create this by eye or by taste (picture the sink full of spoons from all the taste tests we said we needed) but since I’m sharing, I perfected the amount of everything needed.

The big secret to this recipe is the ketchup. Yes, the ketchup! If you lean more Carolina BBQ over traditional BBQ, you will love this recipe. If you prefer a little less of the vinegar taste, you can easily cut the amount of ketchup in half to keep that sweet to savory recipe you love.
We use aluminum pans ALL THE TIME while trying out new recipes on our Pit Boss Smoker. Buying them in bulk is definitely the way to go to save big money. Our favorite ones to purchase are below.

For this recipe you’ll need 2 large cans of baked beans, 1 package of hotdogs, ketchup, salt and pepper. That’s it! We typically buy different varieties of already flavored baked beans but you can easily make your own!

We love to serve this at big get togethers where there are a lot of hungry mouths. Serve on the side of burgers or add some bacon on top to make it a meal all in its own!
