The Ultimate List of Things To Smoke
1. Smoked Cream Cheese
Honestly, I thank the heavens that smoked cream cheese came into our life. It is one of the first smoked recipes we tried and we have made it at least once a month ever since. The best part is you have the ability to experiment with seasonings depending on what you’re in the mood for. For starting out, we recommend following the recipe below.
2. Smoked Queso Recipe
Another great option for snacking. Smoked queso is delicious, filling and customizable. Check out the delicious recipe below and adjust as desired. Try adding Chorizo for ground beef or throwing in jalapenos for an extra kick.
3. Smoked Mac N Cheese
On the top of our try next list! Smoked Mac N Cheese is our third suggestion for fun things to smoke! This is another great recipe that is customizable. Try switching out cheeses, try using different style noodles and add your favorite toppings like bacon or breadcrumbs.
4. Smoked Sausage Gravy
Let’s move to breakfast shall we? Or brunch, depending on who you ask.
Smoked sausage gravy may sound intimidating but it is quite simple. This recipe is great to make in bulk and freeze or to serve at a gathering because it is SO FILLING and DELICIOUS!
The best part is this can be made in one pan if you have a cast iron skillet. Simple smoke the sausage in the skillet on the smoker and then move to the stove to finish up the gravy.
5. Smoked Pineapple Upside Down Cake
After taking a look at the photo below, words really aren’t necessary. Smoked Pineapple upside down cake is one of the many unexpected desserts you can make on the smoker. I mean, if you’ve had the pleasure of tasting food that’s been smoked, you can just image how amazing this is going to be.
6. Smoked Salmon Dip
One of the longest and most rewarding smoked food recipes we’ve had the pleasure of creating. Smoking salmon to perfection is a multi-day process. Because of that, we highly suggest smoking a large batch at once. You can smoke salmon for your family to enjoy for dinner on Thursday and use the remaining salmon to whip up a dip for the weekend.
This dip does thicken when refrigerated so be sure to set out for 15 minutes prior to enjoying!
6. Smoked Pizza
Your favorite dish just got better! Smoked Pizza is ALL THE RAGE lately. Use the recipe below for a delicious take on Hawaiian Pizza or use your own favorite toppings.
Be aware – you need a pizza stone to be able to follow this recipe.
7. Smoked Chicken Salad
Meal prep anyone? Party platter people pleaser? You got it. Smoke your chicken breast, make chicken salad, add chicken salad to sandwiches, wraps or lettuce bed and ENJOY.
8. Smoked Nuts
CAN YOU IMAGINE? You don’t have to! All you have to do is follow our simple recipe. Smoked nuts can be enjoyed at summer cookouts, holiday get-togethers and even on game day. Try smoking your favorite nut this year for an easy go-to snack!
9. Smoked Butternut Squash
Three ingredients, TONS of flavor. This is a great way to experiment with your smoker while staying healthy. And can you image – Smoked Butternut Squash Soup! I’m positive this is delicious as is but making it into soup form with all that smokey flavor has me drooling as I type this.
10. Smoked Cinnamon Rolls
This recipe is one we are really, really proud of. We combined store bought cinnamon rolls with ingredients our family loves to taste during the holidays to create this amazing smoked cinnamon roll recipe. We found the perfect temperature and time for cooking and the rest is history! I highly suggest saving this one for the holidays.
That wraps up our post about things to smoke!
